Ruth is a multi-disciplinary Instructional Designer who loves tea, a well-timed GIF, a good conversation, a well-told story, and taking photos around her happy place— the lake.

Her interest in instructional design began because she wanted to help more people in a larger capacity. She began designing learning modules for herself and other teachers, then expanding to a broader capacity. Her passion lies in finding solutions for companies who want to educate their employees but need help designing learning modules that gain and hold the interests of their current and future employees. She designs fun and engaging lessons that teach something and encourage learners to keep the knowledge gained even as they progress out of their current work environment.

In the portfolio section, you will see products of an instructional design challenge, a learning designer recruitment task, and products of her UX work completed for a UX Design certificate done with Google through Coursera. She is routinely updating this section, so keep checking back!

When she is not out on the water or exploring other avenues for using her creativity to help the world on a bigger scale, you'll find her hanging out with her family and exploring the world around them, picking up a good book, writing, and finding joy through everything she does.
